Welcome to
Yarnaholics Anonymous

A yarn addicts guide to all things wooly with a splash of some yarning tools.

History of The Perfect Stitch Fibre Co.

When I, Jen, decided to start The Perfect Stitch Fibre Co. I had no idea that in six months I would be making the jump to a new website. What started out as more of an excuse to dye ALL the yarn turned into a business that I absolutely LOVE. As a fellow yarn addict I know how easy it is to see all the pretty yarn and have to try and choose your absolute favorite. When you have to choose just one.....and add the rest to your wish list.....fingers crossed you picked the one you liked best. Let's face it though as yarn addicts WE want ALL the yarn.

Yarnaholics Anonymous Intros

Hello my name is Mary, and I'm a yarnaholic.

It has been 6 hours since I last purchased yarn/fibre and 4 days since I have received any squishy mail. If I ever stop buying more yarn, I could knit my stash in my lifetime. I can't choose a favorite yarn from my stash. I Love them all!!

I plan on casting on the Find Your Fade shawl (Finally). My top 5 favorite yarny shops are Perfect Stitch Fibre Co (of course, lol), Sundae Yarns, Firefly Yarns, Dye is Cast Yarns, and Expression Fiber Arts.

Hello my name is Jen, and I'm a yarnaholic.

You are in a safe place in yarnaholics anonymous.  It has been eleven days since I last purchased yarn/fibre and 3 days since I have received any squishy mail. Instagram is quite the temptress though. I hope to knit through my stash but at the rate I'm going that may not happen.

I have so many favorites I don't know how to choose a favorite but I do love So Fly and Wonderland. I am about to cast on Starting Point wrap for the joji mystery wrap kal. Choosing 5 favorite yarny shops is a bit tough. I really like Nox yarn, Ann Tudor LLC, The Steady Hand,  Simplyservinghk, and Joligeek.

Lately I've been having Cast-on-itis. Although I've been resisting I have added some more patterns to my Pattern Crush list.

  • So Faded by Andrea Mowry
  • Starting Point Wrap by Joji Locatelli
  • Ease by Alicia Plummer
  • Worsted Boxy by Joji Locatelli
  • Hundred Acre Wood by Helen Stewart

Whatcha Knitting on?

As knitaholics we would just be shopaholics if we don't actually knit on anything. So what are you working on this week? I'm currently working on the Make a Wish cardigan.

Current wip count: 5 (I cast on the worsted boxy yesterday)
Finish Anything? Nope!
Planning on casting anything on? Yes, the Starting Point Wrap.

Wizardly Collaboration

What could be better than hand dyed yarn based on our favorite wizarding world? The answer of course comes in the form of sweet progress keepers. The fabulous shop Whits Knit Shop created the progress keepers for this collaboration and is only available for a limited time.
