Lupercalia was an ancient annual festival that took place on February 15th to avert evil spirits, purify the city, releasing health and fertility. Dyed with splashes and speckles of red, pinks a dark red purple and small bit of orange.
Each skein is hand dyed with professional acid dyes and heat set. I wash the yarns in wool wash and rinse to make sure that the dye has set. Even with this process, you may get minimal bleeding on the first few washes.
Dyed and stored in a smoke-free home.
While this is superwash merino and you could machine wash gentle and tumble dry low, I always recommend hand washing with mild soap or wool wash and lay flat to dry to ensure a long life of hand knits.
I'd love to see your hand-knit projects. Please use #theperfectstitchfibreco so I can what projects you use with this yarn!
